'Yaak' Yarrow (Achillea milleflolium var. 'Yaak') is a tough, low-growing native groundcover perfect for Utah landscapes seeking a water-wise alternative. With soft, gray-green foliage that forms a dense, walkable mat, it thrives between flagstones, along pathways, and in open areas as either a lawn addition or alternative. Drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, Yaak spreads gently by rhizomes to suppress weeds, needs little irrigation once established, and offers delicate white summer blooms that attract pollinators. Ideal for full sun to part shade, this resilient native is a beautiful, functional choice for replacing lawn with something more sustainable. To maintain the most compact appearance, we recommend mowing every several weeks at about a 4" height to keep the Yaak from sending up woody stems and flowering at a taller height.

Plugs will be removed from containers and wrapped in plastic to seal in moisture. If you are picking up at the nursery, we will contact you to arrange a specific pick up date and time so they are wrapped at the appropriate time. After you receive your plugs, place in a shady, cooler area if you are not planting immediately. We recommend planting within 24 hours of receiving the plugs.
