Woodland Strawberry (Fragaria vesca) 'Alexandria' is a charming and versatile everbearing strawberry that combines ornamental attributes with delicious homegrown fruit! From late spring through summer, delicate white flowers are followed by an abundance of small, intensely flavorful red berries prized for their sweet taste. Thriving in part shade to full sun with moderate moisture, ‘Alexandria' forms a beautiful carpet of lush green foliage, making it an excellent groundcover for garden borders, pathways, woodland gardens, and partial landscape areas, in addition to being an excellent addition to foodscapes, permaculture gardens, or containers. Since 'Alexandria' is a bunch-type strawberry and does not produce runners, it needs little corralling.
