White Fir (Abies concolor)  brings a soft, refined presence to the landscape with its long, silvery-blue needles that curve gently upward along well-spaced branches. The foliage has an almost feathery quality, catching the light to create a subtle, glowing effect that stands out beautifully against deeper greens. With its naturally symmetrical, pyramidal form and open branching, it offers structure without heaviness, making it an excellent specimen tree or anchor in mixed plantings. Due to its natural high elevation habitat, this tree will be happiest when planted on the north or east side of a home or in other sheltered areas where it can be protected from intense afternoon heat and wind. White Fir is also highly adaptable to different light conditions and can even be planted in shade.
