Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum) 'Shenandoah' begins the season with blue-green foliage that turns burgundy over time and looks stunning paired with its pinkish blooms. Like other Switchgrass varieties, 'Shenandoah' has an upright growth habit and is tolerant of a wide range of soil and moisture conditions. Use as a focal specimen or in group plantings in garden beds and borders, or as a shorter border or privacy planting. 'Shenandoah' is somewhat tolerant of urban sites and pollution.
