Red Twig Dogwood (Cornus sericea) 'Isanti' is a compact cultivar of the native species. It features the same attractive green foliage, white flowers and berries, red and purple fall foliage, and stunning red stems in the winter. A gorgeous addition to the back of garden beds and borders, woodland or shade gardens, or foundation planting, or can be used to create a privacy screen or hedge. Berries are not fit for human consumption. Prune in the late winter or early spring to maintain its shape and maintain its red stems, which are more pronounced on new growth. It is tolerant of urban pollution.
