Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium) 'Twilight Zone' is among the most unique and visually stunning of the selections of Little Bluestem. This variety boasts a nearly iridescent silvery-purple cast all over the foliage starting in mid summer. These tones remain as the plant gains brighter purple highlights in the fall. 'Twilight Zone' has an attractive columnar, upright growth habit and tolerates a wide range of soils and growing conditions. Use 'Twilight Zone' as an impressive specimen plant or group planting in beds and borders, or in prairie style plantings. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution and city sites.
