Limber Pine (Pinus flexilis) 'Cherokee' is a dwarf selection of the native Limber Pine found growing in Cherokee Park, Colorado. This cute conifer features beautiful, very blue needle color. Add 'Cherokee' to garden beds and borders, rock gardens, or sunny Japanese style gardens. For best results, plant in sandy or loam soil with good drainage and be careful not to overwater.

Irrigation Requirement: Low (1/2" every 10-14 days) after the plant has established. Water on a moderate schedule the first year or two.
Mature Size: Extremely slow growing, will be approximately 3' tall and 2' wide at maturity.

Salt Tolerant: Somewhat, Limber Pine is more salt tolerant than other pine species, but still considered very salt tolerant.

Plants in the Pinus genus are known host plants for 150 pollinators in northern Utah. 'Cherokee' can also provide good habitat for some birds and small animals.
