Fire Chalice (Zauschneria garrettii/Epilobium canum) 'Orange Carpet' is a Plant Select introduction made from seeds gathered in Idaho. This cultivar of Fire Chalice is an excellent choice for higher altitude or cooler gardens and features a more compact growth habit. Plant in garden beds or borders, rock gardens, cottage gardens, or pollinator gardens, or use as a groundcover. Requires regular supplemental moisture and can tolerate part shade. This is a very low maintenance plant, with only occassional light pruning needed in the spring. 'Orange Carpet' is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution.
