Cutleaf Coneflower (Rudbeckia laciniata) is a bold and cheerful native perennial that brings brilliant color and height to the late-season garden. Towering stems topped with bright golden-yellow flowers bloom from mid-summer into fall, creating a striking display that stands out in rain gardens, meadow plantings, and other areas with consistent moisture. This vigorous wildflower thrives in full sun to part shade and spreads through both seed and rhizomes and can quickly form colonies. It is best suited for larger landscape areas where it's spread is desirable, or in large landscape containers or planters where its rhizomes will be controlled. Cutleaf Coneflower is an excellent choice for adding vibrant color to large garden beds and borders, meadow plantings, matrix designs, woodland garden edges, cottage gardens, and naturalistic plantings.
