Blue Spruce (Picea pungens) 'Globosa' is a sculptural landscape gem. Originating as a selected specimen with a dwarf, slow-growing mutation, Globosa forms a dense, globe-shaped mound of striking silvery-blue needles that brings year-round structure and color to the landscape. Its compact, symmetrical habit makes it an ideal focal point for small spaces, rock gardens, or foundation plantings, where its cool-toned foliage contrasts beautifully with deep greens and warm-toned blooms. Slow-growing and exceptionally hardy, it thrives in Utah’s sunny conditions, offering a polished, low-maintenance way to add evergreen presence and visual balance to any design. Globosa is offered in two forms, a high graft form with a tall trunk is visible under the foliage and a low graft form where it appears to sit on the ground.
