Dwarf Rubber Rabbitbrush (Ericameria nauseosa) 'Baby Blue' is a blue, compact natural selection that brings all the ecological benefits of the species in a tidy, garden-friendly form. This compact shrub forms a tight mound of silvery-blue foliage that resists flopping open and provides a cool-toned contrast to dry garden beds. In late summer to fall when many blooms are fading, ‘Baby Blue’ erupts in a halo of golden yellow flowers. These nectar-rich blossoms are a critical late-season resource for native bees, butterflies, and other pollinators preparing for winter. Rabbitbrush is also a larval host for several species and provides shelter and structure for beneficial insects and small wildlife year-round. Use 'Baby Blue' in dry garden beds and borders, rock gardens, Mediterranean style gardens, and parkstrips.
